Abstract
Storage of hydrogen is one of the key challenges in developing hydrogen economy. Storage of hydrogen is a serious problem. Due to high inflammability, adequate safety measures should be taken during the storage of H2 fuel. In this review, we will focus on (i) hydrogen storage strategies to overcome the key barriers of high desorption temperature and low kinetics ii) hydrogen storage technologies for synthesis of adsorbent materials capable of adsorbing large amounts of hydrogen and which have proven useful both on gravimetric and volumetric basis, keeping in mind their advantages and disadvantages while they tend to store hydrogen both in the atomic and molecular form and iii) Solid fuels hydrogen storage materials specifically metal hydrides and complex hydrides. Highlighted of Mg hydrides, Mg complex hydrides, Mg based catalysts, and Nano-structured Mg complex hydrides in the past and present.
