Abstract
This paper deals with estimation of the unknown parameters of the inverted linear exponential distribution (ILED) based on Type-I hybrid censored (HC) data. The maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) and the related approximate confidence interval (ACI) are obtained. The general procedure for determining the bootstrap confidence interval (Boot-CI) is described. Furthermore Bayesian estimators of the unknown parameters based on squared error loss (SEL) function and linear exponential (LINEX) loss function are obtained. Using Lindley’s approximation and Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods to approximate Bayesian estimators. A simulation study and one real data set are presented to illustrate the theoretical results.
