Abstract
Recently the weighted thermostatted kinetic theory framework with discrete activity has been proposed for modeling the weighted interactions in complex systems. This paper addresses the derivation of the weight function as a solution of an inverse problem based on the macroscopic quantities and specifically on the high-order moments. The weight function, obtained by employing the maximum entropy principle, generalizes the previous published results obtained by employing the zero-order moment.
