Abstract |
|
bjectives: the study aimed to find out the extent to which visual presentations are used in Arab satellite TV news bulletins, the most prominent news formats used in their news bulletins, identify the order of issues in the study channels in terms of the use of visual presentations, and identify the sources of information obtained by Arab satellite TV in its news containing visual presentations.
Methodology: the researcher used the Content Analysis tool as a tool to analyze the content of Arabic satellite news channels by dividing them into the content and format categories. After conducting honesty and consistency tests on a form, the researcher analyzed the news bulletins of Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya and Al Mayadeen channels for a period of three months.
Results: the researcher found that Al Jazeera was the most used for graphic templates and virtual reality, while Al Arabiya was the most used for infographic, overture and augmented reality shows, while political issues were the top concerns of the study channels, followed by Health News, Then security news, as the report template ranked first in the interests of all channels, while Al Arabiya was the most used for TV report.
Conclusion: the study explained the importance of using visual presentations in news bulletins, and the extent of competition between TV channels to employ visual presentations in news bulletins in order to impress and attract the largest number of viewers and facilitate the delivery of information in attractive and interesting ways.
