Abstract |
|
Technological development accompanied by innovation and creativity are producing today new models of smart cities that use the latest technologies, applications, quality of life in the city, while enhancing the effectiveness of the systems that facilitates
further access to public services.
However, the more civilized our world becomes, the more socioeconomic challenges it faces. Facing the problem of the global Covid-19 pandemic which started in late December 2018 from the Chinese city of Wuhan, and spread to all the world created different social and political repercussions. The researcher study how the different cities, including the smart cities confronted the pandemic and its risks. The researchers conclude that even smart cities are not immune from the pandemic however they could build the capacity to mitigate it.
