Abstract
In this paper, we develop the maximum likelihood estimators for the parameters of the Epsilon-Skew Rayleigh (ESR) distribution and demonstrate its ability to model population data. Maximum likelihood estimators are derived numerically and algebraically whenever it is possible. Application of the ESR is demonstrated by using numerical estimators to model 2015 demographic data from the Philippines. The fit of the model is evaluated and compared to the fit of a similar model.
