Effect of Sintering on Structural and Morphological Properties of Nanoparticle Manganese Zinc Ferrite Synthesized using combustion Method

Abstract
Nanocrystalline powders of manganese zinc ferrite with combination MnxZn1-xFe2O4 (x=0.8, 0.5 and 0.2) were synthesized using the combustion method. These samples were sintered at 1000oC and were compared with as prepared counterparts to study the effect of sintering on structural and morphological parameters of these materials. Structural analysis was done using X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy. Enhancement in lattice constant, crystalline nature and crystallite size were observed as major changes as a result of heat treatment. The morphological examination was done using a scanning electron microscope (SEM).
