Abstract
Kamps [9] introduced the concept of generalized order statistics, as a common approach to various ordered random schemes, such as, order statistics, record values, sequential order statistics, progressively type II censored order statistics, Pfeifers records etc. The study of recurrence relations between moments has been of special interest to researchers. In this paper, recurrence relations for single and product moments of generalized order statistics have been derived for Power Lomax distribution, proposed by Rady [21]. Further, results are deduced for order statistics and records. At the end, some characterization theorems of this distribution are also presented.
