A Generalized Exponential Ratio-Cum-Product Estimator in Simple Random Sampling for Estimating Population Mean Using Two Auxiliary Variables

Abstract
In this paper, a generalized class of Exponential ratio cum product estimators for estimating population means using two auxiliary variables in simple random sampling is proposed. The Bias and Mean Square Error of the proposed estimator is obtained up to the first order of approximation and compared to the all classical estimators given in the literature. Numerical illustration is carried out to verify the theoretical results. It is verified that the proposed estimator reduces to the regression estimator having minimum mean square error.
