Abstract
An article is made to study thermal stratification phenomena by way of mixed convection boundary layer flow of EyringPowell fluid brought by an inclined stretching cylinder. The temperature adjacent to the surface of cylinder is supposed to be higher than the ambient fluid. Flow directing differential equations are reduced into system of non-linear ordinary differential equations by utilizing appropriate transformations. The numerical solution is obtained with the application of shooting technique conjunction with fifth order Runge-Kutta algorithm. The inspection regarding achieved results shows that the fluid flow is influenced appreciably against thermal stratification parameter. The results are validated by developing comparison with existing published literature and some particular cases are also established. Furthermore, numeric values for two unlike geometries namely, plate and cylinder against skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are presented with the aid graphs which is very essential regarding industrial application point of view.
