Abstract
The present paper investigates the wastewater treatment ozone process produced by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) under high potential. Three (DBD) ozone generators of cylindrical form have been used for wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) of the city of Sidi-Bel-Abbes located at the West of Algeria. The experimental results show the efficiency of the treatment process by ozone based on the micro pollutant analysis (heavy metals) and microbial analysis (bacteria, viruses and parasites before and after ozonation treatment. The results show that 80% of micro pollutants are eliminated and 100% destruction of all bacteria which reveals the high efficiency of the process.
