The Research of based on Iterative Companding Transform Method for The Reduction of Peak-to-Average Power Ratio of OFDM Signal

Due to its robustness to multipath fading and high spectral utilization efficiency, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) is a very attractive technique for high rate wireless data communications, however, the main drawback of it is the high peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR) of the OFDM signal. In this paper, the iterative companding transform technology is presented to reduce PAPR, what kind of method is the optimal is obtained through the simulation that not only compare to the original PAPR, the PAPR of different companding transform rate, and the iterative companding transform PAPR, but also the BER performance of several methods.
