Optical Model Analysis of 8B+27Al Elastic Scattering Above the Coulomb Barrier

Abstract
The angular distribution of 8B elastic scattering cross section on 27Al is studied at two energies above the Coulomb barrier, namely15.3 and 21.7 MeV. The analysis is performed in the framework of optical model (OM) potential. Semiphenomenological and microscopic OM potentials are used. The sensitivity of our results to density distribution shape of 8B nucleus is presented. Good agreement with the experimental data is obtained without renormalization factors. The calculated total reaction cross section is presented and compared with previous analysis.
